Frigga

friggaFrigga (Frigg, Fricka), Odin’s wife, was considered to be the Mother of all; and protector of children. She spins the sacred Distaff of life, and is said to know the future, although she will not speak of it. Some believe that Friday was named for her instead of Freya, and there is considerable confusion as to “who does what” among the two. The Norns (Urd, Verdande, and Skuld), are the Norse equivalent of the greek Fates. It is they who determine the orlogs (destinies) of the Gods and of Man, and who maintain the World Tree, Yggdrasil.

Frigga really is stupid. She goes around asking everything to agree not to kill Balder, and missed out a branch of mistletoe. I mean why? And then just to make things worse she goes and tells Loki that she missed a spot. What exactly is Loki gonna do with that info? Go do something productive with it? Of course not! This is Loki and all he ever does is ass around. Really, Frigga is not smart.

      1. She didn’t ” missed” it. The mistletoe was just too young to ask it for something and receive a proper oath in return, it wouldn’t understand what they wanted from it in the first place, so she decided to wait.

      2. Loki shape-shifted into an old woman with a face of a caring grandmother, and tricked Frigga into telling him the truth about the hole in all the oath issue.
It was not her fault, after all, she did a great job.
